Gingerbread Man

I think that I'm happy
Because I know that I'm blessed
When I can hear your heartbeat
Drumming in your chest
Sounds like a love letter
From god himself
Telling me to forge past your faults
Embrace from within

Your love would be a godsend
I miss your smell, your scent remains vivid
As the predator in you puts the predator in me to shame
The hard to grasp monarch butterfly
Flapping through the wild wind
These are the things your made of
As Isleep soundly
In a house made of gumdrops and ginger bread

But sugar eventually rots
In the glare of the afternoon moon
And eventually our songs
and guitars must be tuned
Rhyme and reason
Intertwine like solar kisses
Bleeding out for anothers last breath

Decieve me
Believe me
I know that it's true
My heart is slowely breaking
Because of baby boo
